1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in a comparable way. They can be used to make a website work, remember your preferences or understand how people use it.
In the UK, the use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) alongside UK GDPR. Cookies that aren't strictly necessary for a website to work can only be set with your consent.
2. How we use cookies
Our website does not currently set any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We don't use tools that follow you across other websites, and our fonts are served from our own website rather than a third party.
We use your browser's session storage for two small, functional purposes: to remember that you've already seen our loading screen, and to keep your chat assistant conversation as you move between pages. This information stays in your browser, is never used to track you and is deleted automatically when you close the tab.
Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse. These don't require consent because the website cannot function safely without them.
3. If this changes
If we introduce analytics or marketing tools in the future, we will update this policy to list each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts. Where consent is required, we will ask for it before any non-essential cookies are set, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear cookies when you close the browser. Guidance is available from your browser's help pages and from the ICO at ico.org.uk.
5. More information
For details of how we handle personal data more generally, please read our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, contact us by email at info@leadguideai.co.uk or through our contact page.
